Steve qualified as a physiotherapist in 1992 and has subsequently worked in a number of roles in both the public and private sector.
Steve was the owner and senior physiotherapist in his own general practice for 25 years and has most recently worked in occupational rehabilitation before joining the team at Hunter Hand and Upper Limb in 2020.
Steve has concurrently been teaching in the undergraduate Physiotherapy degree course at the University of Newcastle since 2012, and supervising students both domestically and in overseas placements.
Steve has a particular interest in the effect of cervical spine dysfunction on shoulder conditions and in the treatment of work related injuries within the NSW workers compensation scheme. Steve is able to undertake functional capacity testing, workplace physical requirement assessments and ergonomic assessments for injured workers.
Steve is obsessed with travelling, spending time in or on the water (snorkelling, paddle boarding, swimming and surfing), coffee and his wife. He thinks his kids are ok too.
